nearly a divorce
« on: 04 May 2012, 06:20:54 am »
 :eek

After a nice ride on wednesday and a relaxing day off for a change  :rolleyes

put some well needed miles on the fazer thou, and tested devilsyam R6 shocker which is brill by the way. :lol

I made a slight error and landed at my local bike shop, this is where i orginally bought the fazer brand new in 05.

I asked if they had any secondhand R1's for sale around 07 vintage, as i think it time the fazer got a stablemate.

Well they have'nt but he had a mint 07 GSXR1000K7 ! just come in as trade in as the bloke came in for an MOT on the gixxer and went home with a 12 plate R1.

well i could'nt resist it , so a thrilling test ride later i bought the gixxer thou . :eek

Well i didnt tell her indoors and spilled the beans as soon as i got home !  :o

as you probably guessed the reception was not good , my ears still ringing now!

i have been as nice as poss since divorce threat and promised to do more round the house etc ! and am slowly sweet talking etc, being attentive to conversation etc etc.

anyway pick the gixxer up later today, just hope it dries up a bit as im unsure the insane power is what i need on a wet road!

by the way the fazer thou still gets more attention than the gixxer, its a forever bike  :z

I can understand yer temptation. I just saw a nice blue FZ-1s( with black  engine and frame) going for less than £5k, with just 3k miles on the clock...tbh its actually no dearer than me trading my speed triple in for the latest one...but do I need 3 bikes !   :lol

For many years I couldnt go into a bike shop without persuading myself I needed something extra or better than what I was riding. Fortunately with the recession and the way new bike prices have increased the last few years I started to look at good second hand machines. I also asked myself if I could only have one bike(which is now the case) what would I choose? FZS 1000 no contest! :lol

Oh you BAD man !!

I know a fella very well who bought a CCM R30 and kept it at his mates for 3 months until it got a mention in the pub one day, fortunately, Beth is still with me  :) .

Good luck pal, all your projects will keep her mind occupied and there is always a wee romantic night away  :sex

when i bought my fazer (which she did know about) i also picked up a gixxer1100 in bits (which she didn't/still doesn't). perhaps she's just keeping quiet as somehow i've managed to nearly build my katana up without ANY bits coming for it ;)

You should be like my friend who bought one of my R1s off me a few months ago.  He had a blue Yamaha scooter which got sold to be replaced by the blue R1.  His missus never noticed because the colours were the same. :lol

I guess I pulled a similar stunt when I bought an R1 a couple of years ago.  Got it off ebay, had it looked after for a month or so by a mate (thanks again, Shaun :) ) before driving over to collect it in a van.  Two days before leaving for the UK I found an even better R1 on ebay, so bought that as well.  Only took me 2 years to reduce the stock levels again. ;)

Does wifey give you more pleasure than the bike ! If yes I'd get rid of bike it will go down hill from now on.

What you need to ask ya self can you cook - clean - wash your own clothes and does your pecker touch your ar5e !!

If it does than at least you can feck ya self rather than the wife LOL.

I like that and I can relate to it.

I recently changed the colour of my bike.

It had been resprayed badly when I bought it.Well it wasn't terrible but not perfect.

My brother works in a bodyshop and loved pointing out that his Yam Thundercrap was 6 years older than mine but looked newer.

It was black and I decided on a dark metallic almost a gun metal grey.

The wife never noticed didn't have a clue .

you lot foccin kill me ! picked the gixxer up yesty lunchtime , and guess wot,  the wife took me to bike shop to pick it up and we cleared her shed out to make room for the mower , so my 10x8 shed has the room for fazer thou and the gixxer !
i then spent the afternoon cleaning both bikes !  ;)

i think the extra housekeep deposited into her acc on thurs may have swung it , but she is still promising to kill me ! :evil

i am scared a bit of the gixxer riding in c mode the softest setting at mo :z
