Main fuse blowing
« on: 17 May 2021, 03:43:30 pm »
Hi riding home last night lost all electrical power, found main fuse blown and when replaced blows again with ignition off.
I have checked for bad wiring (rubbing wire) but all looks OK,pulled plug off regulator and fuse OK put regulator back fuse blows so think bad regulator, any body had this before any suggestions before I buy new regulator thanks.

Does the fuse blow with the engine off or when its running?

Could be a bad regulator or a bad charging circuit. I would get a meter on the wires from the regulator to check for an earth where there shouldnt be one.
Another ex-Fazer rider that is a foccer again
