« on: 31 March 2012, 10:10:25 pm »
would 100/90 bulbs be too much for the fazer electrics? as i can get 2 bulbs for £10 and they come with led side light bulbs

Doubtless someone will be along to say they've run them with no problems, but it's not something I'd risk.
Apart from the dubious legality and extra heat cooking the aluminising off the lamp reflectors, 15+ Amps is asking a lot of the existing wiring and switchgear. I'd recommend a separate circuit with heavier duty wire and relays operated by the existing circuit if you want to go down that route.

dont  go for the 100 watts...have a look at  phillips  vision plus range or similar from halfords..more expensive but no risk of frying your reflectors or wiring

I fitted philips extreme lamps H4 (for gen1) 80% brighter than standard halogen.  You can see the difference, very worthwhile wee upgrade.

I think they are now 100% brighter than standard.

100/90 lamps won't be road legal, and yup could overload your wiring and the heat could cook your headlamp reflector and housing.

I'm happy with my philips extreme H4 60/55's.
