exup valve info plz

Hi everyone..i have just instaled a new can (like a growler) and was wondering what i have to do with the cables from the exup valve ... do i have to snip any wires from ecu or anything like that .and should i remove the cat (honeycome stuff)....thanks for any replies

you can either tie the cables out of the way or take them off,but you will need to keep the motor plugged in or you will get error codes,as to the cat you have 2 options,one is as you say gut it but if you wanted to put the bike back to standard it will cost you a lot of money and the other is a replacement set of downpipes (assuming that is where the cat is) which dont have a cat,there is some on ebay made by delvic

now the can is fitted was thinking about doing oil ..filters ... wot air filter should i fit having changed the can..thanks ,,,,John

I could be compleatly wrong here, but I thought on the Gen 2 a Powercomander is pretty much a must before changing to much stuff.
but i am not realy up to speed on the gen 2, i prefer a set of carbs :P
