Hmmm, i'm liking that, i may well try that myself.

This stuff, Optiglanz, is good but is pretty evil to handle, i'd recommend 2 pairs of gloves and eye protection.

That did cross my mind as well. I painted my exhaust with black heat resistant paint, I wonder what it will do to that?

Agrees with Skip what a piece of shite that bike is (In the video) I don't think I would have bothered cleaning the headers anyway.
He does live near thew sea though, you can here the gulls screeching in the background.
Whats with all the electrical wiring and connector blocks hanging down the front of the bike.

The seagulls maybe because he lives near a landfill site, could explain where he found the bike.

appreciate it depends on the condition of the pipes but generally speaking, how long are you lads leaving it on for before rinsing off?

picked up 2 bottles at £1 each yesterday and looking at my pipes they're not too bad.....maybe autosol would've sorted it but willing to do both to get them gleaming :lol

has anyone done the lot....pipes, collector box etc?

BTW I've got a bandit :rolleyes but its not like his :eek

I did all of mine back to the link pipe and it worked a treat, I left mine on for 2 minutes uses just purely because that's how long had been suggested in a previous video I'd seen. I suppose if they are a bit rank then leaving it on a bit longer couldn't hurt. I'd say  5 mins max though just to be safe. I'd rather do it a few times for a few minutes than leave it on for ages. Will warn you though it does smell a bit lemon fresh for the first ride or two after haha

I usuaaly use Pledge to wax my bike. Once I grabbed a can and liberally sprayed the bike without looking too closely a the label. It was lavender scented. It's amazing how long the smell remains even after a couple of blasts down the motorway.
