The airbox breather pipe fits onto a small spigot at the back of the airbox in the bottom half just off centre towards the left, Looking at it from the top you probably won't be able to see the spigot but you should be able to see the pipe.

Is this where you mean Ian?

Its not the overflow pipe from just under the radiator filler cap if its is remove the Rad cap and take a look inside.

Yes that's it. Fuel hose would be a suitable replacement. The oem part is about £25

Yeah I already bought a metre of fuel pipe thinking it was that. To be fair it was only £3 from local yamaha dealer so not too bad. I will have to get under therl tank again on my day off and see if I can spot it this time.
