Belly Pan
« on: 09 October 2016, 07:55:32 pm »

Just bought this belly pan off ebay. Wasn't cheap but looks in pretty good condition. Just noticed that the front fitting brackets don't look right. What do you think and does anyone have any of the correct brackets?

It's got 2 brackets at the front, they just don't look quite right compared to what I've seen in other pictures. The ones I've seen have a single bracket each side with 2 holes for the 2 engine mount bolts. This one just looks like a bit of flat bar. It will probably fit okay, just maybe not as neat as the proper fittings.

Just need to get it painted Silver Tec

Thought I'd found a couple of proper brackets at a place called The Bike Hut in Bristol, but turns out they had already been sold. The bloke said they had been sold just an hour before I bought them online and that they cant update the web site that quickly. I'm not convinced though, as the front page of their web site says something about being on holiday in July, so I suspect it hasn't been updated in months.

Has anyone else bought anything successfully from them?

i am in the same boat - recently got a bellypan just like yours and didnt come with anything to bracket the front, so used wire ties - they work - look nasty but i am going to make up some brackets myself - what are on yours looks like the previous owner made them up - so they should work

I've bought a few bits off bike hut in bristol for my foxeye 600 they've always been pretty good although the website seems a bit shite. If memory serves me they actually do a lot of fazer parts.

Looks good, and about to be wrapped as a Xmas present to yourself I see. Just had mine repaired (bike fell off the side stand), and about to paint
