Recommendations on chains/sprockets..

Need to change my chain and sprockets, as you can see from this thread...


Any recommendations, was looking at a DID Set online....

did always been good for me, x-ring
And if you want to make it last longer fit a Scott oiler

go down 1 on the front sprocket for better ecceleration

That seems very cheap for a DID heavy duty chain.  You did order heavy duty?

That seems very cheap for a DID heavy duty chain.  You did order heavy duty?

I asked because the OE DID chain is listed in the workshop manual as a ZVM type, which is stronger than the VX.  However, looking at DID's website now it appears that they now recommend the VX for the Gen 1 and the ZVM for the Gen 2.  If I've read it right, they've upgunned both types so the VX is now very close to the tensile strength of the original ZVM.

Good news for you (and me, I need a new chain soon) because the VX is a good deal cheaper!

I run a gold did chain & gold renthal sprockets, look fockin awesome !

I got the upgraded oem chain and sprocket kit a few months ago as new old stock for €160 in Germany, granted is cost €20 postage.

Present chain, a DID ZVM with scottoiler fitted has 24000Km on it, however I did change the front sprocket at 16000Km.

hi anutz,nowadays i live 20-30 mins away from the hill,in sunderland.however.....20years ago.......i reckon 10mins!!!!
i still live in the same house in the same street as back then,just not the same TT aspiring rider i once was lol
