Hi new member, have recently bought a really nice very low millage 02  Fazer 1000 that has only done 5,000 miles from new.

Found you guys whilst looking to solve a problem of my tacho going mad and yes i have the age old seized exup.

Sheared two of the three bolts getting it out and removed it. The inner is perfect but the outer is welded to face plate to the point I've had the plate red hot and still it won't shift.

Would like some advise on best route to go please. Ive seen replacement headers that don't require an exup- I'm guessing though I'm going to loose low down performance (if you could do it without an exep surely Yamaha wouldn't have gone to the trouble of putting it in?

My headers are like brand new so I could get them drilled but as I can't separate the valve from the face plate I'm going to need a new valve.

I'm guessing that's going to be expensive. So what are peoples thoughts / recommendations please

Can you tell me if these R1 downpipes would fit my 2002 fazer please?

Hello and welcome  :)

Could not help much with the exup I've got 600...
Adrian Monk: Unless I'm wrong, which, you know, I'm not.
