End Can
« on: 17 June 2016, 07:47:37 pm »
Hi all

Any recommends on end cans.

I have a Delkevic fitted at present but it run like a bag o shite with the baffle in.

I had a Quill T3 on my first Fazer 1000 but they upset recently so I am not so keen to go back to them. That said the T3 suited the Fazer very well and was road legal and I would rather be legal than not.

My current Fazer is Ivanised

Thoughts please

Bw

Depends a lot on your budget. I have a Fuel stainless oval can which I got in one of their sales with 30% off so it was a bit of a bargain. It's well made has a lifetime warranty and isn't too obnoxious with the baffle removed. I was also looking at MTC at the time as they were also recommend along with Fuel but the 30% off swung it for me. My bike is Ivanised (Full Monty) and runs better with the baffle out (134bhp) than with it in (127bhp) so having  a longer quieter can is a better option than a stubby louder one if you want the best performance but noise is an issue.

Keep an eye on the For Sale and Wanted section as decent cans often crop up on there.

There are a few on here with Blue Flame exhaust cans - we've got them on 3 bikes -  Aprilia RSV1000, Fazer 600 & Fazer 1000 - all run sweet as can be, baffles in or out (the all seem to run a bit better with the bottom baffle open though). Aprilia has done 20k miles with the can and quality-wise, it's as good as new (all 3 are the stainless twin-spout versions). Fazers have 10k miles ish each, over 3 years and 5 years - again, no issues at all.

In our opinion, they sound good and look good too - 4 levels of "loudness" to choose from.

Here's the 600 with its exhaust. (List price is £203 - we did deals with Blue Flame at bike shows and paid between £150 and £170 each. (Great value)
