Yokes are r1, forks look to me like 01/02. Devilsyam will tell you exactly. They look well neglected also a weird place for a tax disc.

I'll second that emotion.

Those shiny are going a bit ginger!

Looks like a yzf 750 front end as the R1s don't have the recess above the calipers  ;)

Nice TRX, loved mine , just make sure you change the emulsion tubes in the carbs if its done over 12,000 miles, had 80bhp at the back wheel on mine :D

Yeah they are YZF 750 forks noggy.  The std top yoke on the YZF is lower at the stem than the forks rather than flat like an R1/R6 top yoke.

Thanks guys....that makes sense as the rear end is yzf750 but the guy who sold me it said R1....just as well i asked for when im mooching on ebay for bits.....thats a real help.

Ill keep the emulsion tubes in mind...it is on about 10k now after a rebuild so will getbthem done end of next year maybe.

Im still itching to get another yzf750 swingarm if anyone comes across one....one in top condition that i can have nicely silvery shiny.......actually theres no rush really and although they are popular as a mod on other bikes im sure one will still pop up if i keep patient.

P.s.....i still havent felt the need to even do a smidge of adjustment on the front or rear suspension.......at foccing long last....as good as the FZ1 was i just couldnt keep my mitts off of the suspension.....the TRX i just get on it and ride it.....so light and nimble and the twin motor means i have more control on the throttle mid corner rather than endless power trying to catapult into the hedges.....its a new experience for me that im enjoying.

I knew it was an early R1 front end as it has fazer calipers and wheel. Just wasn't sure which exact model. I have just bought the bike (that's 3 fazer thous now) :lol

4000cc you forgot my v4  :rollin . I have bought another one, so i can either take the R1 front end off and the R6 shock and put it on my standard one or sell the standard one and use the one with the R1/R6 suspension ;)

The fasteners on the front end are all corroded and will be replaced, the rest of the bike is fine. it has only done 800 miles in 18 months and it looks like the bike cover didn't fit over the front end :lol .

If it's a 5pw top yoke i presume it has been drilled to take the handlebar clamps :look

And hopefully strengthened underneath where the clamps bolt on.

Is the standard 5pw 14mm radial master cylinder better than the standard gen 1 master cylinder?

it's not a radial m/c you have there!
but i know a man that happens to have a 17mm triumph radial m/c with mirror mount!
i've got a 5VY m/c on mine (16mm) and that is a vast improvement over stock.

I don't mind it not being a radial m/cyl as this bike is going to be used purely for work/winter. i am not spending anything on it, as i have other bikes that i spend enough on :lol

Want to sell me that front end? Or maybe even do a part ex? Ive got a couple of sets of standard forks and yokes and it really would be a shame to put that through the winter!!! (oh and you beat me to the sale!!! Bargain price!!!)

I bought it for the R1 front end and r6 shock :lol  I have another good standard fazer, so depending on how good the engine and ancillaries are will depend on which bike i keep. Which ever one i keep i will use the r1/r6 suspension.
