She spent far too long (several years) with a chap who kept promising he would move in with her and take the next step, it took her years to twig that nothing was going to change.  She dumped him last year and since then, despite going out with friends and meeting blokes or meeting them through online dating they are either after just one thing (she's done all that but now wants a relationship), they lie about their age, height or looks, or they are rather vague and I suppose occasional, the sort where work always gets in the way and they can't see her on a regular basis.  We think this is code for I've got about 3 of you on the go and "work" is one of the other girls.
