shiny bar ends at good price.
« on: 15 February 2012, 10:49:50 pm »
My steel bar ends were scuffed and rusty and I fancied a bit tasteful bling. However some nice polished aluminium or stainless bar ends seemed a bit pricey. Found these polished aluminium items. Ordered from an American company and arrived via Taiwan!

About £13 including postage, fitted straight on.

Thanks for the heads-up also available in black - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/110813529971 noticed mine were going a bit rusty in the allen key slots, hopefully these will sort that out at a reasonable price (£14.31 inc).

Are they much different in weight?
Just 'cause I get a few vibes, and wouldn't want it made any worse :)

Steel vs Aluminium, I'm guessing they'll be a fair bit lighter but I'm not that bothered by vibes apart from at tickover, will post back once I've fitted them and had a chance to go out for a ride.

They are quite light compared to the steel ones. Not had a ride with them yet so can't say how much extra vibes you'll get.

Here they are fitted.

Mine arrived in the post today. 76g vs 309g each so quite a bit lighter, not bad quality for the price paid. Will hopefully be able to get out for a ride over the next few days to see if they make any difference to vibration through the bars. Worst case scenareo they'll do whilst I get the originals powder coated as they were scruffy.

I have no bar ends in mine since I had to change the bars to Renthals coz bike got chucked or knocked over by some retard. I've never really noticed a great deal of difference. Bike always vibes a bit anyway, enough to make the mirrors just give a vague impression of what's behind. Carb balance is always done regularly ( got my own Carbtune set of gauges) so it's not that.
