I see Guy Martin is the favourite to replace Clarkson.....maybe get a few bikes on the show if he gets an offer and takes it.

I don't think he is the right choice though, as he's no wordsmith and may struggle with interviews etc

I'd never pick Guy Martin, as the man doesn't speak English... which is a major problem if working as a presenter/speaker.

Yep I've always wondered about that, they don't make any deductions for labour costs when they tally it up at the end do they?. Wonder what the 'profit' would be then...

Yup no accounting for labour, workshop costs, consumables etc etc and they never make enough money to make it a viable option. I watched one where they had a corvette and a UK cost for the exhaust system was £500 so he got one shipped over from the states that cost £300 but when they did the tally up at the end shipping & taxes on the exhaust were £250 extra.

I don't watch it anymore because it just doesn't make sense.

I was quite indifferent over this, thinking it was all blown out of proportion but after watching this leaked video footage of the attack I was quite shocked at the way Clarkson savagely attacked that producer. Totally unprovoked and yes, thoroughly deserved to be sacked.

My understanding is that it's an amalgamation of unseen location footage, originally intended for more than one episode in the last prematurely curtailed series, with studio presentation/linkage by Hammond & May, but without the usual studio audience.

Yes it is, with Clarkson only appearing on location and not in the studio apparently. Guess we'll find out more later.

I dunno, I didn't think it was that bad and to clear up - it is unreleased footage from this season that has ended. They basically took two films that would have been in the final episodes and stuffed them in to one as they removed what would have been the likes of doing the news or a star in a reasonably priced car etc
