Thinking of getting one of these kits as there doin a deal and I need to start working on my own bike instead of Deefer and me mates... Can anyone vouch for them ?

Most of my tools are the Halfords Professional range and they are really good quality. I have a few of their ratchets and all have lasted over 10 years now.
My spanner set is now 18 years old and still going strong

in the summer. Garage much tidier now and I know where all my tools are! All seems good quality.

Got quiet a bit o TENG stuff, decent quality, lovely finish, and at a keen price.

I tend to use Teng sockets, britool ratchets, facom spanners, but the Halfords set I got as a present about ten years ago is pretty good MAC tools are ok and don't forget the budget snap on 'euro range'
Halfords lifetime guarantee is hard to beat though at the price

I think at that price I'm gonna get them. They shud last then when I throw em against the wall in a fit of rage shoutin "FUKIN BIKE" cheers for the headsup.

Don't know if the Halfords set includes them or not,but I've always found a small set of the 6 sided flank drive sockets in the most common metric sizes is invaluable for releasing rounded off or high torque nuts/bolts.

Good call another way to do this on the cheap is to buy an impact driver set just for the sockets

Oh and if you are buying tools.
Don't buy cheap screwdrivers.
Best thing I ever did was buy a set of Wera laser cut screwdrivers. Not cheap (not really a fortune either), but they bite like nothing else and seem to stay sharp for ever.
Got the boss at work to buy them for us as well, everybody loves em.

I've used them a fair bit. Good for the price. Obviously not up to Snapon standards, but certainly worth the money, especially with the lifetime warranty etc.

I'd love a set of the 200 myself.

If it is any help, I have Halford tools I bought 25 years ago, I have used them for work over years and they have not let me down. I bought a 1/4'' drive ratchet from them this weekend, so they still get my money.

Yep a decent quality screwdriver makes all the difference.Irazola are pretty damn good as well.It's great to have a really comprehensive socket set,but I wonder how many of the sockets the average home mechanic,working mainly with metric,actually uses regularly?.I reckon there's probably a handful,starting from 10mm upwards that are going to get a real bashing.

For me I most commonly use 10, 13, 15, 17 and 19 - but 12 and 14 make an appearance fairly often as well. The occasional 6-8mm is used for small things, but at this size I have some 1/4" hex end sockets that fit in a screw driver thingy - you know what I mean!

My views on the Halfords stuff mirrors every one elses - their Pro / Advanced stuff is good

Recently picked up their 12 piece set of ratchet spanners which have come in handy and feel of good quality. A majority of my sockets are Torq because I was poor when I bought them, but since they are mostly 6 sided they have lasted and performed well

I've got nothing against the Halfords Pro range quality wise, but I wouldn't buy that particular set as I prefer using 6 faced sockets. I have got some Halfords stuff but I usually buy Teng like a couple of others on here.

I prefer to use flank drive sockets where possible as well.There is a few 6 faced impact sockets in the set in some of the common metric sizes.

Good tools. I got that set about 10 years ago and can't fault them.
