Cheers Luke,
Will ask him, in the meantime my local bike Shop are going to have a go at re -cabling it so fingers crossed.
The downside is I've been reduced to this. :lol

Pretty certain they will not, the FZ1 ones are quite short.

Wemoto do aftermarket replacement cables for 50 quid or so. I've been using them for the last year and they've been good. Slinkyglide is the (rather crap) name.

that price is still taking the piss though, Venhill I believe are cheaper than that.

Thanks for the replies fella 's,  a few options to explore there for the future.
Local mechanic put a new cable in and soldered a nipple on the end so will see how it holds up.

Just fitted a set of the Wemoto ones. One of mine was very worn, other is looking good.
held up so far but only done a few 100 miles on it so far. Looked ok though.
only slight problem was one end was a little rough. 2 mins with emery paper and all is fitting well.

They're ok. The paint on the adjusters soon get a bit of surface rust but I've done about 20k on them so far and they're working fine, so they'll last.

Venhill supply an inner cables set for about a tenner. Feed 'em through the existing outers (assuming they're ok), attach the included nipples and Bob's your uncle.
