No they aren't the longest. The 2008 model are longer and i believe the 2010 are even longer.

They are not the fork lengths just the tubes.  I can't remember exactly how long the 4XV's are but they are over 700mm.

I modified my stem rather than make a spacer to lift the top yoke which game me much less drop, to be honest mine doesn't look much lower than stock.

Correct. The rake and offset is also given, so you can get an idea of length, as the steeper the rake and lesser the offset the longer the forks will be, so to speak. :rolleyes

I just measured my 2008 (4c8) ones and they measure from top to very bottom 750mm. They are obviously slightly compressed, as the bike is on it's sidestand.

Mine are 760 on the side stand. Not sure what you mean by getting an idea of length from rake etc?

If the forks are more upright the tops of the forks are further from the ground . Think of the big hand on a clock Say its at 10 o clock then put the hand to 11 o clock it will be further off the ground.

Yeah I know that but putting different forks on doesn't change the rake nor calculate length. At best you will have yokes with different offsets but that doesn't change ride height  by very much if at all.

Haynes manual says 790mm for 04 Fazer.
My 5pw r1 legs are 730 mm in compressed.
Had some of extensions made with extra 50 mm
And it now measures 782mm.
Worth the money , wish I'd fun it sooner
