FZ1n Battery
« on: 21 May 2014, 05:00:26 pm »
Hi all

Can anyone recommend a battery for my bike please, I had a quick search on here and Motobatt seem to come up well.

Many thanks.

Seem to have read that before somewhere  ;)

The battery required is a GT14B-4, I can't find a YUASA with this code. Any help much appreciated as I head to the spring meet on Friday morning and I don't have many places local where I can get one.

Cheers

ok if you want to shed weight
not ok if you occasionally ride (will have to diconnect battery and re connect as they lose charge quicker)  or ride in winter (piss poor starters in cold winter conditions)

Where did you find this information as it's totally contradictory to the manufacturer's description or is it just your opinion.
They claim easier starting in cold conditions ( you leave the ignition on for a few seconds to heat it up before starting the engine) & virtually no loss of voltage over extended non-use.
I have owned 2 Shorai & not found either of your statements to be true.

Keith, in that link it's only some guys opinions from nearly 2 years ago. They don't actually have any personal experience with them, unlike the manufacturers & more importantly people who have actually bought & used them like me  ;)
I may get one for my s1r
