Mine went a few months ago and haven't replaced it. I've removed it and just put a cable tie on the choke slide bar. Good enough for me.
Some say that he eats habanero chilli peppers dipped in oil of capsaicin for extra bite and that his pyjamas are made from Nomex. All we know is, he's called Ad the Bad

I bought  the cheapest one I could find on ebay, about £11. Been on bike for over a year with no problems.

Thanks guys. I might do the same as you Kos. Easy straight forward fix. I'm not needing to use it at the moment but come next winter

When mine went, I ordered a genuine Yamaha one from 'Fowlers'. From memory it only cost me about £15 although that was about 3 years ago. Buy cheap buy twice. At least with a genuine one you know it will fit 1st time  ;)
Yamaha Fazer 'the only bike you'll ever need' maybe ???

I have a pattern choke cable on my bike, while the fit is good the nipple on the bottom is slightly smaller, but it does work, the top fit is the same. but if a genuine part is not much more I would pay the extra, before buying genuine off ebay check with your local dealer as in most cases I have found the prices to be cheaper locally. aj Sutton http://www.yamahamotorcyclespares.co.uk/product/yamaha/5LV263301000/starter%20cable%20assy?uid=0 want £17.15 but their prices always seem to be higher than a local dealer
