How big is the tank?  As it's an old tech diesel and not one of these modern high pressure common rail things, it won't be too bothered about a bit of petrol mixed in with the diesel.  If you can get it down to about a 10/90 petrol/diesel mix, it'll be fine.

With the amount he put in, the best he can expect is a 1:4 ratio (20% petrol)

Best option is to drain as much as possible ideally and fill the tank to ensure the lowest amount of contamination

That's the plan, Liam. I finish the draining tomorrow, then a full tank of diesel.

Wanna jot down your 10 stage plan for the draining of tank and disposal of fuel so we can rip the shit out of it  make sure your approach is environmentally friendly and not likely to evacuate any dwellings  :lol :lol

I was planning on setting fire to it outside a certain house in Wokingham... :evil :evil :evil

Either add a few litres to my tank every top up, or give it to a local farmer to help him start his bonfires.

Back in the day we always put some petrol in the diesel to stop it freezing, admittedly 10 quids worth in such a small tank is to much.
Make sure you film the removal though Chris so we can catch the You Tube sensation before anyone else. "Lad burns down entire town fixing his Pug"

It's working now, I just need to remember to put it in in small doses occasionally!

Either that, or I'll give to to a farmer to burn.
