Wanted. FZS600 Items
« on: 05 March 2014, 09:14:50 pm »
Hi,

I've just bought my wife a FZS600 and we are looking for:

Braided Lines front and back.
Top Box and rack.
Panniers and rack.
Rear Hugger.

We haven't a lot of money so if anyone has any of these going cheap please let me know.

Thanks

Tom

On the panniers, do they have to be hard? There are plently of cheap soft panniers on ebay. I had (huge!) Oxford Sports lifetime luggege fitted to my bike, did me proud!

Those look alright! How do they attach to the bike?

I've got those too. Straps under and over the seat, and the bottom part each side bungees to the frame or footrests. Quite secure. A bit of matting under each one to stop rubbing against the paintwork.

As mtread said, one strap under the seat, 2 over. Those were velcro straps, I was a bit nervous the first few rides, but they're great. The underseat strap always seems a wee bit small to me, but that's typical of the type.

They're also fecking huge!!  :lol :lol

Getting there slowly.  Been busy painting the engine, front frame and rad and fan at the moment.   Has improved the bike hugely already. (It didn't really need it, was really clean anyway but I'm a fussy guy! )   The braided hoses arrived today so will have those to fit and bleed with new fluid.  May not do them till next weekend though as it's such a light bike to ride compared to my R1100GS I think I want to take it out tomorrow (need to keep riding to it to make sure it's all ok for when the Mrs passes her A1)....

Still looking for racks and luggage - people have pm'd me with stuff for sale but then never responded with pictures.  I cannot understand the mentality of it unless they are timewasters (What?  on Foc-U I hear you say)!
