Snapped my clutch cable :(
« on: 07 February 2014, 01:52:54 pm »
Oh dear...

Firstly does anyone know if the 600 cable fits the 400? I think it does. Also what do I do to fit it please?

Thanks :)

Sprocket cover off, screw driver and pliers to bend metal tab and remove cable from the cover, adjuster at handlebars screwed all the way in (but gaps in adjusters together.
Cable tie or tape the new cable onto the old one and use the old cable to gently pull the new one through the correct routing, attach cable to the clutch lever first then attach other end to sprocket cover side possibly gently using pliers as these bits spring loaded, bend the metal tab back with screw driver, re attach sprocket cover

Search the forum for front sprocket cover as there are some pictures and stuff there I think it was about a strange clutch clicking noise
I don't do rain or threat there of. dry rider only with no shame.
