Yep Noggy, helicopter is grounded. I was supposed to take it out Saturday, but the fuel gauge sender packed up Saturday morning - a £30 part, but it's on a 3 day delivery.

And NO, I don't buy those shitty Lidl tools (what an insult)....... I only buy them from Aldi

I bought mine as rough example about 12 years ago for 9k. You can get a reasonable one for half that now, a rough one for much less!
Nice ones are rarish after years of abuse though.

Yeah, it's easy to get JDM cars in Australia what with being so close (comparatively). It's a minimum of £15,000 (~31,000 AUD) to get one imported to the UK from what little research I've done (P.S. Do you follow Mighty Car Mods?)

In other news, I go the front suspension swapped out on my ZS. I found out eventually that the new springs I put on it in May were in fact for the wrong damn engine variant - a problem that plagues the V6's as all the supplier catalogs are in fact wrong... god damn Rover!

So, second set of springs ordered which were correct and have been fitted - car handles like a dream now. No more body roll or understeer

Custom map installed.

Rode down the A38 , up through Burrington down through Cheddar gorge , stopped for a coffee and a chat , then rode on to WSM , for chips and then back home , lovely sunny weather , good to be back two wheels after my enforced absence due to a bad back .

Nothing today as the weather was shit but went for a ride along the pilgrims way on the DRZ yesterday.
My brother came round on his new WR full of beans banging on about counter steering and use of engines centrifugal effect on slow speed control, bless him.

He's currently doing his bike test.

Then he totally out trumped me by informing me he's just put a deposit down on this liittle beauty.

Bastard.

Fitted my USB charger socket with clock flip top lid to the R1 as I'm sick of not knowing the time on it.

Only problem is I can't ride for 3 weeks with my wrist which is knackered from a work injury!

Did some pre MOT checks on the cage , got new front tyres fitted on Monday , fitted the near side mirror insert , topped up the washer bottle , checked the lights and indicators , 1 rear fog light and 1 rear light not working , cigarette lighter not working due to blown fuse .

Fitted a Baglux tank cover to the tiger which I got for a bargain.

Only to find out that it needs a specific tank bag to fit!

My alpha bag is now bloody redundant! :

No it doesn't.
I have a magnetic cargo tank bag on mine.
I put black cable ties through the loops on the front of the bag to attach to the tank cover clips.
Set the bag on the tank to where you want it, put the cable ties into the clips and tighten to the necessary length and cut off the ends.

I have put up thousands of miles with mine like that

and one crash

no problem.
If the bag does not have magnets or weak magnets, then tie in the rear to the metal attachments.

I've grafted my Oxford mini Tank bag on it in a similar way, but i expected my alpha bag to fit on!

Bloody robbing buggers have put the rear clips a lot closer to the front plastic loops so you can only use the cross'r bag at eighty something quid!!!

Tried to tax the Fazer last night only to find the MOT had run out in April

So took the big mirrors off the Tiger and removed the bar ends - now only 0.5" wider than a Fazer, so good for London's changing traffic pattern. Fitted these and well chuffed - can now get passed vans.

Went for a bimble to Cheddar Gorge , had lunch, got asked about the Guzzi by a Yank , then had a trike owner asking about the Guzzi ,then rode to Chew Valley Lake , parked up , took some pictures , had my Bakewell tart , lost my cherry .
