I love the "splay pattern" on your lid it makes it look like the lid is coming at me out the screen

Don't you think it's time you gave up the hallucinatory drugs at your age?

Caned the Striple again today. Well, it's the only way it can be ridden  :evil

Went up to the Hartside in the afternoon, had a sniff around this:

Which looked nice through the rose-tinted specs  8)

Then went home for tea, but hadn't had enough, so blatted down to the Lakes, where I did discover that the A591 is open again, yay! So now, for the first time since moving up here, I can access these views again:

Blencathra:

Skiddaw:

Thirlmere:

Then proper caned it home  :evil :evil

Liz and I cycled the British Heart Foundation 50 mile Cotswolds ride yesterday with a few friends from Yorkshire.

Probably didn't help spending Saturday night in the pub (had to get up at 5.30 Sunday morning to get down to Cheltenham ready for an 8 o'clock start to the ride), but the ride was great and the weather was fantastic. A few nice hills (no nasty ones) and lots of quiet roads.

Weekend after next we do our annual Coast to Coast cycle ride (150 miles approx) - we have 30 riders with us and hope to raise a load of money for Macmillan Cancer Support - will post up a Just Giving link, hoping for a bit of support from you guys on here. This is our ninth consecutive year of organising and doing this ride - especially poignant as we've lost 3 family members to cancer in the last 18 months and Liz has a 30 yr old friend going through chemo right now.

I bought some oil and filter and there on the shelf was a tail tidy ,so on impulse I bought one for the fireblade.
While I did it I also removed the rear pegs, that was a pain, had to split the subframe, the retaining bolts are inside the frame.

Picked this up yesterday. So that's two of these ive got now in the same colours.

Its a mess, mouse nests everywhere, when I eventually got the tank open it was horrible. The fork stanchions are focced, as are chain and sprockets, cant get the callipers off, exhaust is standard and was only fitted 12 months before the bike was left in a garden, so hopefully I can rescue it.

Breaks your heart to see such a lovely bike left to rot like that  :(

I went to Rhossili on Sunday, and got 2 flights in on my hang glider!

Even better, those two flights were enough to see me signed off! As of Thursday, I will be a hang glider Club Pilot!

Over a year of training to get there! It's amazing though, can't recommend it enough. That said, buying an eBay wing and bombing off a hill WILL result in you getting hurt or killed.

Best advice: look at the BHPA website, find a local school, and sign up for a fun day or a tandem. Cheap, fun, and the best way to decide if the sport is for you.

Fitted my reflashed tuono v4 ecu and did the throttle handling and throttle learning, now i need to recalibrate my aprc settings...

Of for a not very muddy ride (it's drying pout nicely) round Salisbury Plain on the KTM with a mate who hadn't been off road before, so a bit of a wobbler still :)

cheers
