Classic Yamaha 350
« on: 15 December 2011, 07:49:06 pm »
I know that it isn't a Fazer but it does have a FOC-U connection.
1971 Yamaha YR5 350 twin. UK bike with matching frame and engine numbers. Tax exempt. Mot until June. Fully restored with a complete strip, refurbish and rebuild. Upgraded with modern electrics and a LC350 clutch to ensure reliability although nothing can be seen from the outside. The bike is in near show condition and only a couple of minor blemishes away from concours.
Have a look at the pics and if interested contact me at mpollard60@btinternet.com and I will send you full details. Price is £2500 for hopefully a quick sale. Dealers ask £4000+ for bikes in this condition.
Oh yes - the FOC-U connection. The superb paintwork is by none other than our very own Deefer of this parish.

I remember that paintwork! that was a few years ago now.... Nice to see its holding up well, still it had more than enough lacquer on it. This is the first time I have seen the bike complete and I must say she looks lovely!

Drool dribble. That looks soooo lush. Reminds me of an old RD 200 Electric, Torque induction I once had.
Some say that he eats habanero chilli peppers dipped in oil of capsaicin for extra bite and that his pyjamas are made from Nomex. All we know is, he's called Ad the Bad

Very Nice Bike shame about the waste of the LC350 Clutch. :'(

Hi Guys,
The bike was definitely in my garage last night. I think the YR5 only came in two colours. Orange/black (like mine) and Orange/White so most of them look similar. There was a purple/white but I think that was for the 250 only.
Paul. Glad you got my reply. Sorry to hear that you are so far away. How about combining it with a winter weekend break in Devon?
Cheers,
Mark

Bike now sold. Thanks to everyone for the interest. If you know of anyone with a similar machine, I have boxes of parts - new and used - to sell off for any reasonable offer.
Cheers,
Mark
