Very happy to take the the wooden spoon prize of "Slowest Foccer on the track". Even Punkstig going past on the outside round Clearways, punching the air whilst "knee down" couldn't speed me up!
The first lap of the day was pretty nerve wracking as being on a track was
way out of my normal riding comfort zone, but after the end of the second session (after 20ish laps) I was pretty much getting the lines right and feeling miles more comfortable. The ratio of being overtaken to overtook was probably about 10 to 1 but I didn't really care, it's an experience I won't forget and was on a massive high afterwards (so much so that only when I was on the M25 did I realise that I forgot my rucksack like a total tw@t and had to come back for it!!
).
I think I'm going to do a Novice track day on that back of it, I must be mad.
Greetings to Dazza, HarryHornby and Punkstig, a lovely bunch of lads and you've really shown me what Fazers are capable of. That yellow one was crazy fast! Sorry that I didn't say Hi to you, Grandma...you were always deep in conversation and I never got the chance...next time.
And yes, that hill was like dropping off the end of the world.
