Anyone is welcome to come along to spectate, there is no charge, just roll up at the entrance, nod at the guy in the kiosk and keep going around to Paddock, through the tunnel to the garages.

It's this Monday coming (30th June) there might be a place for you on the day itself if KitCrazy hasn't got a bike yet, might be worth an ask.......

Well, that was a good day. Punkstig was on his usual form, overtaking all and sundry. Still didn't manage to get my knee down but no one crashed so all good. :)

Excellent day, a lot of fun and managed to miss the rain 8)
Fazer was flying, only did one track session as not enough places spare and needed to be home to let dogs out!

BRILLIANT day out, all foccers should go on this.  Thanks to Grandma for my fairly glowing report after my advanced ride (I read it when I got home).  and PS, what's wrong with 30mph in a 60??  :b

Felt loads more confident on the track this time, even managed to scrub up my tires a bit :-)  I certainly overtook more than I was overtaken this time, a complete reversal from the last time  :) :) :) :)

Very happy to take the the wooden spoon prize of "Slowest Foccer on the track".  Even Punkstig going past on the outside round Clearways, punching the air whilst "knee down" couldn't speed me up!

The first lap of the day was pretty nerve wracking as being on a track was way out of my normal riding comfort zone, but after the end of the second session (after 20ish laps) I was pretty much getting the lines right and feeling miles more comfortable.  The ratio of being overtaken to overtook was probably about 10 to 1 but I didn't really care, it's an experience I won't forget and was on a massive high afterwards (so much so that only when I was on the M25 did I realise that I forgot my rucksack like a total tw@t and had to come back for it!!   :lol ).

I think I'm going to do a Novice track day on that back of it, I must be mad.

Greetings to Dazza, HarryHornby and Punkstig, a lovely bunch of lads and you've really shown me what Fazers are capable of.  That yellow one was crazy fast!  Sorry that I didn't say Hi to you, Grandma...you were always deep in conversation and I never got the chance...next time.

And yes, that hill was like dropping off the end of the world.  :eek

Buzz- a proper trackday will be mutch better for your confidence, mainly because you'll be in groups of similar abilities.
Focused events trackdays now fit all bikes with a tracker system that works out all your lap times etc and after lunch they put you in proper matched speed groups!

Buzz, that was soooo me last time.  On both sessions I was just glad they were over and I got back in one piece, while grinning because I'd actually ridden Brands Hatch (a track I've watched races at so often over the years).
Yesterday was a different ball game, I remembered corners from last time, I didn't try to push it (except once on Clearways, the bike squirmed a little and I shouted, FUCKING YESSSS in my helmet, with a big grin) but apart from that I felt so much different going round.  Still at my own pace, but this time I over took more than I was overtaken.....bonus!
Do ride skills or a track day again and you will notice the difference, I did!   :)
