what a great story. Great footage too, this will show the Mrs what its about 

for my 50th next year I plan to ride the Ventoux on my old Coppi. My xmas prezzy is to get a compact on the front and a 32/11 cassette on the rear, I'll be having a good xmas then its into serious training

I don't know about trains, those guys said driving was quicker and the only way to hit 24 hours. Ask on the bikeradar forums for treason advice. Or ride your motorbike with the bicycle bungy corded on the back!

Treason is train (according to my phone auto correct). Sorry, I should have read before submitting the reply! My coach took the train to the Ardeche region for the Ardechoise event so I'm sure it is possible.
