Don't you just wish you could go off and do something like this?

I strangely found it compulsive viewing. Not sure I'd like the snow and the floods.

I'd absolutely love to just pack up and bugger off like that for a year 'n' a half!

If I never get round to doing it I'm going to make sure my lad gets the opportunity/funding to when he's older.

Such an awesome video! I would in theory love to do something like that, but then again, I don't think I could hack it... 18 months of it non-stop... yeah, I'd lose what sanity I have left. Plus there's no way I'd take the Fazer :P

Has anyone figured out what bike he's on? Something small and light by the looks of things. What would be ideal? Maybe about a 400? I wouldn't fancy doing many of those tracks and trails on a big BMW GS - I can't see why anyone would want to use something big and heavy like that to do such a journey.

Amazing, that's my dream to do an adventure exactly that one day. The bike is a Kawasaki KLR 650 I think.

That is beyond good - I would love to do this! Was in danger of redundancy, about 5 years ago, and had decided that if I did get the chop, this is what I was doing with the payoff (been at same place a long time, and there was a good package in place). Alas, my name didn't come out of the hat, but one day, I'll ride my bike to Southampton, put it on the ferry to Canada (yes, there is one, although you can't travel with the vehicle , humans have to fly) and ride it off the other end.

It's an inspiring video! I'd love to be able to just jump on a bike and bugger off round the world.
