iTunes Alternative?
« on: 28 November 2011, 08:44:47 pm »
Anybody use an alternative to iTunes?

According to Wikipedia, there are a few options, but the one I tried (doubleTwist) appears to actually only support Android devices. Which is fine, as far as it goes (I have an Android phone), but would like one piece of software that can handle my Ipod as well as the Android phone.

Can anybody help, save me reading umpteen websites and/or trying many more pieces of software?

What do you want to do?  I use copy and paste in windows explorer to load music onto my phone...

I'm another copy and paster.
I find using software to load music in players, just gets to complicated and takes too long.

Been using Winamp for years as Music player on PC,s.
It supports android and various other Music players

You can't copy and paste with an Ipod....
If you could, no problem!

Looks like I've found an answer with MediaMonkey :thumbup

When you connect your ipod to your PC or Mac does it give an option to connect as a mass storage device or mass media storage device?

You get the Ipod as a drive, yes, but any music already on there isnt visible, and you cannot copy anything on to it...
