wow, glad you're ok as you are man.

Makes for quite a haunting read but certainly makes you remember to keep your eyes open for muppets not seeing us. Maybe you could take that paramedic out for a drink in thanks of taking your trousers off, she might do it again  ;)

Really glad it's not put you of bikes too, take care and hope all goes well, I'm sure devilsyam's bike will be very nice  8)

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.

Devilsyam's bike is in fantastic condition considering it's age and mileage, and very well looked after. It's now sitting in my bike shed after a slightly wet ride home! I'd also like to point out that he's a top bloke who went out of his way to help. I must say I'm glad I got into biking in the first place. It was only initially a 125 to get me around, but I was bitten by the bug and have since met a lot of great people.

When the liability is sorted, hopefully I'll have a Fazer to use for spares and selling some parts. The front end is wrecked and a lot of plastics are damaged but there's a lot there that could be used. The chain and sprockets aren't that old (though they're <1t front >2t rear for acceleration) and the rear tyre has probably done about 80 miles in total. I'll update here when I know more.

Ivanised and the fastest colour! Result!
Good to hear you're all sorted now, and seem somewhat more cheerful  :)

Devilsyam certainly knows his bikes.

Take care of it and enjoy :-)
Opinions are like A**holes, Everyone has one.  Some people seem to have more than one though which is a bit odd.

Further to this saga, I'll be posting another thread in the for sale section as my plan is to break the bike down for parts, depending on the results of the insurance claim. I'm not familiar with the different insurance felines (cat b cat c etc) so I'll do a bit of reading up first, but the idea will be to recoup some costs, and give you guys the chance to grab some cheap spares.

Pretty much all of the front fairing is gone, and the left side of the rear body plastic (seat surround) is smashed. I can't yet tell how bad the front forks are (I'd say the yolks should be fine) but the downpipes are history, as is the front wheel. I'll be giving a more detailed summary of damage and available parts when the bike gets delivered, as I just paid the ransom this morning.

Oh and I'll be hanging on to the rear tyre, as it's nearly new (only done 100 miles at most.)
