I ride like a nutter (even on 33 brake), but didn't get on well at all with the Maxxis. I felt I couldn't trust their grip (they slipped a lot), squared off too fast, and (I thought) didn't allow for enough lean angle.
The Michelin PR3s I now have, well, that's another story!!
Don't ride like a nutter then, learn to ride properly and stay on the road!
