daytime running lights!
« on: 24 July 2013, 02:52:29 pm »
anybody know if there are any restrictions regarding the hight you can mount these on a bike? was thinking of mounting 2 one either side of my rad guard ,these are the 8 led ones pulling 4watts each was also thinking of mounting a seperate bar mounted switch with inline fuse straight from battery so not having to splice into wiring!!

Rad guard won't have any height issues, as long as you're not blatantly blinding people with them?

Would've thought a straight line from the battery is a tiny bit risky, because you will forget to turn them off, for whatever reason!
Either that or some random will flick the switch for you for 'fun'.

Have you seen these too?    http://www.bikevis.com/motorcycle-led-running-lights.html

My LEDs are mounted on the rad sides, I cut the side lights and attached them there (stopping the sidelights from working) the LEDs are brighter and draw less power so no need to still have them on pulling even more for the battery!
Some say...
