clutch spring question
« on: 24 May 2013, 11:54:57 pm »
I have sourced a complete genuine Yamaha clutch plate set,as to the springs is it worth going for an uprated spring set or is it best to stick to standard?

my opinoin is if it aint broke dont fix it !

have you had clutch slip with the standard springs ?

up rated will make the lever stiffer more strain on your hand and the cable, maybe  more likely to break it .

but thats only my opinoin ! and not worth much !

I have had no slipping but my clutch is worn out,the bike has 71k miles on it and when I get it apart I thought a set of new springs wouldn't go amiss
