Perfect timing - my rear wheel middle bearing has just failed and I am very grateful for that link.

Incidentally, just how difficult is it to change the bearings - I've never had to do it. Any tips and hints from forum members?

I always take my wheel in lose to the bike shop to have the last bearing removed as I can never get it out with my limited work area / tools.

Front is easy as is 1 side of the rear and the sprocket carrier. But damn that 3rd rear LOL. Pita.

Also (possibly) perfect timing for me, as I have an unused rear wheel bearing kit if you're after 'em
