Fuel consumption!

Just done 75 miles riding like a nun, and put just over a gallon in to full her up. Fuelly app showed me 72.9 mpg!!!
It was the most boring 2 days commuting I've ever done!! :-[

Has anyone done any better?  put your best mpg figures down and let's have a look.

riding like a nun

Exactly the term Bike magazine uses in it's buying guide to describe how they got 70mpg.


Best I've done is mid-60's, but that did include extensive distances blatting down the A50/M1 at rather illegal speeds

I normally get 50-52mpg when riding 'normally', and only managed 61mpg out of my old '99 plate I had last year. I was shocked to get over 70

Filled up today and fuelly says 57.9mpg and I thought I was doing well riding normally

You've never lived if you have not seen The Sound Of Music. Put it on your must view list its riverting althoug its not strickly a motor but is a cycle.
