fz1 sw motech rack with givi adaptor
« on: 22 August 2013, 04:26:41 pm »
fitted it today ready for heading to spain sunday, after being advised that the givi one involves cutting the bodywork (eeeeeK!)
im reasonably handy with spanners but what a complete bastard of a job...at least i know the ins and outs of stripping me tail end down now. it would have saved no end of time if i just angle ground a slot to the hole where the indicator wires etc come through, but i hate bodging so did it proper. once done its a superb bit of engineering, highly recommended, just dont be expecting to "just nip out to the garage and fit that rack, shouldnt take more than half an hour..." as i did :)

Yep, some tw@ fitted one to mine before I got it. Looks like he used a chainsaw to cut the slots!
Enjoy the trip bud!
Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!
