Danish FZS man
« on: 22 April 2013, 10:50:32 pm »
Hi, I'm Lasse, moved here from Copenhagen Denmark. Have a 2005 FZS, dark blue and my dream bike.

I haven't got my bike here, as it needs to be exported from the home country. Anyone have any experience importing bikes from drive-on-the-right countries? ANy advice is greatly appreciated.

Lasse

Hi,

Welcome to the forum.  8)

Sorry, not had any experience importing bikes, someone might have some advice though.

Chris

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.

Hello and welcome.

I'm afraid you are going to have to switch the steering to the other side to be compliant with british roads.

You may also want to install some form of accessible weaponry to deal with scumbags
Smell ones mother. Yaas!

Hi and welcome. What would be different on a bike if u drive on the right?  Nothing i woulda thought. My ex bought a bike over here and shipped it to slovakia for £1 per kilo.  The chap who moved the bike for us is a friend who i could put u in touch with if u want. Pm me if ur interested.

And don't forget out speed signs are in miles per hour not kilometers, otherwise you might find yourself going a bit slow  :)
Other than that, depends on whether your importation is temporary or permanent. Here's some stuff https://www.gov.uk/importing-vehicles-into-the-uk/overview
Oh, and welcome to the UK and FOC
