Home Brewing Corner
« on: 25 March 2013, 03:54:51 pm »
Are there any other budding home brewers on the forum or am I alone?

Do you brew all grain, extract or kits? Do you have any favourite tipples or just tips you would like to share? Or do you have any particularly nice recipes?

Tell us what you're brewing, drinking or planning...

I'm currently drinking the remainder of a Cooper's IPA I brewed a couple of months ago and a particularly astringent pear wine that a colleague of mine made about a year ago - tastes like crap but it knocks your socks off.  :lol

At the moment I'm brewing

Cooper's English Bitter using medium DME as the fermentable
A Wilko's Cabernet Sauvignon
A gallon of pikey powered turbo tramp fuel.

Bring on the summer! 8)

Done some home brewing in the kits, but also some wine from rhubarb, raspberry & strawberry but mainly wine from kits aswell. Found cider to be successful
Most memorable / strange batch I remember from a kit someone bought me, 5 gallons of sherry !!!!  :eek

Think about doing it again occasionally, but too much other stuff going on and never get round to it   :\

I buy schnapps, put loads of fruit in it with some vanilla pods then let it stew in a demi john.
Then after a few weeks I strain it soften some ice cream and put the fruit in that.
