Looking for frame plugs/caps.
« on: 02 March 2013, 09:13:05 pm »
Seems when I bought the bike (picture below) one of the previous owners lost the frame plugs  :rolleyes . I've searched on ebay but can't seem to find a set anywhere, and I'm going to presume OEM prices will be extortionate!! Anyone know where to get a set from? I've resorted to packing the hole full of lithium grease right now.

Thanks!  :D

£9.70 for a bit of plastic is still pretty painful but it'll do!  :lol

Yeah it is, but finishes the bike off nicely! Don't forget to order 2 tho - not £5.70 a pair!

Yeah, they are ridiculously expensive for what they are. One of mine went missing ages ago so I took the other one off and never replaced them.... I see plenty of other bikes that lack plugs as standard, and I don't mind how it looks tbh. Do they actually do anything apart from finishing off the bike cosmetically? Does anybody know if the design of the swingarm bearings necessitate a cover as I'd get some if the lack of them could be damaging!

This would be nice to know since I'm missing them on my bike as well... Can't see it being overly problematic, but nice to have it confirmed by someone in the know ;)

Devilsyam sells some really nice ones for the thou on his website. Would these fit the 600? Be awesome if they would, or of they could be made for the 6 as u would definitely have some.

I just figured that they were there originally and rather than taking one off I'd rather replace the missing one - knowing my luck if I hadn't then something would have gone wrong! May well just be a cosmetic thing but I like my pretty bike!

Yeah I've seen those - if they fit the 600 I'd probably get a pair off him...
