Well done and welcome. With the restricted bike you will lose a lot of top end but should still see 80 on a good day (eventually). Acceleration is still like a reasonably sport car tho, so no slouch. Big benefit is big bike weight, handling, braking, and let's you (re)learn how to ride, planning your route through traffic, observation etc. Then after two years remove the restrictors and woosh you have a "new" bike that will hit 140.
Lights? What reg is it? Square lights are crap, but HIDs might work - do a search.
