renthal bars
« on: 07 May 2012, 06:50:30 pm »
Hi i have a yamaha 1998 fazer , id like to change the standard handle bars for renthal bars. Does anyone know if this is an easy job, plus would i need to change anything else on bike? would they foul the fairing when turning etc. Long term i would like to change to a street fighter look, does anyone also know how u go about this , with getting parts etc

ultra lows didn't need anything doing to the cable routing

all i had to do was drill 2 holes for the switch gear pins

easy job

No need for that just file the locating pins down, the switch gear is solid absolutely no movement at all.

The headlamps, mini indicators and fork brackets came as a set for £100 from bandit mania but they dont sell them anymore. You can get the dominator headlamps on ebay.

The fork brackets, but not the same as mine.

The screen.

The clock bracket i had to make myself from aluminium sheet as the original was destroyed in the crash..
Hope this helps you if you decide to street the bike "I was going to do this eventually even before the crash anyway"... ;)
