Do you have any backups? You should be able to restore it from the backup

yes and no - the issue relates to compatibility of the download section software with the forum software version we are running - to go back will result in lost posts and other functions not working again.

The Mods are currently testing a new forum platform which has a download section and may better features than the SMF version we are using here. Once we have finished our testing we will get some of the users here to do some testing too and then migrate to the new software. At that point i will look at restoring the old software here to recover the downloads and move them to the new platform.
