Is this plug connector part of the factory loom?
« on: 15 September 2023, 02:33:29 pm »
I've owned my bike for over a year and she's running great. However this alarm looking thing is annoying me. The wires were untidy, that fob looking thing was cable tied to the handlebars and there are some twisted together wired horrors hiding under wraps of black tape. The plug in the picture looks like its part of the main loom?
Anyone know if its an aftermarket thing?

Not part of the original loom, It is the socket for a Meta Alarm

Great to know. Thank you.
I saw on the haynes wiring chart there was an optional alarm plug. Wondered was it this.
I think ill remove the siren, and that fob, solder the twisted wires and tuck it away.

How is the bike working at all with the meta head unit not present...?

That and the 2x exposed wires need to be covered up, as you dont know where they are terminating.

Already bypassed I would think, hence the twisted together wires
