Hello Guys. It´s time to replace the fuel filter, but I never did it before. How to do it? Just remove the old one and put in the new? Or we need to fill the filter with fuel before install it?Thank youMike

It's directly under the tank, so the tank needs to be removed.
You can see the filter once the tank is lifted or removed, there is a plate that needs undoing then pushing aside so you can get to the filter but it's all very straightforward.
Get some rags to catch the old fuel when you unclip it, and make sure the engine is cool as well.
And remember to turn the fuel tap back on when you put it all back together.

When you say its time to replace the fuel filter -- I don't remember ever replacing mine in 20 years I have had the bike ( I say remember because I have had it so long I may of done but forgot)
I think I remember seeing it when I replaced the air filter with the tank propped up and thought it looks clean enough to me.
Did I see it -- and is it transparent so I could tell if it needed replacing.
Its not something that often comes up on this forum.

Wouldn't hurt you to change it now simply due to the age of the plastic, rather than the mileage you've done. It's not difficult to change, costs under a tenner from Wemoto, and is something else to cross off the list.

Yep, just remove the old one and put the new one in. No need to pre-fill it.
