Bell Helmet Visor (E3?)
« on: 03 September 2019, 02:46:15 pm »

Sorry it's not really Fazer specific but I've had my helmet for around 3 months and the visor has developed a crack from being slammed shut (lesson learned). When I bought the helmet it was on sale as a discontinued model (nother lesson learned).

Now I can't seem to find a visor which matches it exactly and searching the web brings up nothing (Helmet seems to be an "E3" model according to the stickers). If you see the picture, the visor has some plastic teeth which I can't seem to find in visors in online shops. Would this probably work it's the closet looking one I can find :-  https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/243425 ?

I know it sounds silly but have you messaged Bell directly to ask if any new old stock exists with their official retailers? Could be worth a punt?

Yeh actually I sent a message through their website last week and they didn't reply. I can't even find any reference to this helmet on their site or the internet for that matter. Maybe I will try again or phone in.

Not embarrassing at all fella. There's a few "DOH" threads on here like riding off without your helmet etc. It's called learning. :thumbup

You've only had the helmet for 3 months. Even if it was a discontinued model, I doubt it was significantly old or they probably wouldn't have sold it it all. I'd be amazed if replacement visors are unobtainable. I bet you'd locate one if you could identify the helmet model.

Try doing an image search on Bell Helmets and see if you can find one that looks the same.

Surely there was a box/user guide/receipt etc... with the model named on it somewhere?.

I think that's a failure and a defective visor and it's not fit for purpose. How is it strong enough to protect you during a crash if closing it cracks it? Did you close it with a hammer? There's no way should you be able to crack it by closing it. I'd contact the place you bought it from and at the least they should replace the visor

+1 to that.
They still make me the old version of their V-Wipe rubber visor cleaner because i prefer it to their new model.
Really helpful and considerate firm.
