With those old Vespa's, a big part of the appeal was tinkering with that little motor behind the side fairings. Tuning the engine/exhaust note too.
A silent... electric... Vespa... loses alot of appeal for me (thinking nostalgia).

However the young hip guys and girls will prefer this, over a noisy motorbike, for its clean appeal (no smoke, noise, fuel, even servicing will be no hassle).

That's a nice looking bike though. Quite sporty.

Reckon you could still fit a peg and a bit of plastic for the wheels - should give you the sound you're after
