Not sure if it is nation wide but aldi are flogging wd40 brand chain lube and chain wax for a quid a tin.

I've used it before, comes in smaller cans and handy to have if the bike's been sitting all day in a massive downpour.

I've bought 3 of each (cleaner, lube and chain wax). Very handy size to carry around on the bike under the seat.  :)

I generally always use Wurth lube, but every now and then i just use a paint brush with engine oil and soak the hell out of the chain with it. As it's so wet it gets everywhere inside the links instantly and it's really easily applied. Just make sure you put newspaper down once parked up, 'cos it will obviously drip for a day or two.
