noisy clutch?
« on: 15 November 2016, 07:10:42 pm »
fellers...my clutch is noisier with the lever out than when its in, not a lot, and i know theres bound to be a bit because the plates are disengaged..is it worth whipping the cover off to have a gander this weekend or are they all like that? i thought the biting point was a bit high when i bought it but its fine in use and i was comparing it to my zzr11 at the time which only has 6k on the clock (fazer has 30)

The rattle is fixable, I sorted mine:

Unfortunately the pictures have disappeared, basically I had the springs in the back of the clutch basket welded to stop them rattling, noise still gone to this day.

Good thread ta mate. I've kinda got used to it now, I'll leave well alone unless it's gets problematic. Thanks again feller
