Random plug??
« on: 04 November 2016, 04:40:59 pm »
Just been under the tank fitting a power commander and was trying to find where to plug in the o2 eliminator?  I can't for the life of me find anything that tell me where to put it?
Anyways while I was there I found this plug that doesn't seem to have anything going to it?
Anyone have an idea what Its for?
It's on the throttle side of the bike tucked in the frame, right next to the airbox

the o2 elminator plugs into the connector the lambda sensor you can trace the cable up from the sensor on the collector. The connector is under the rhs frame rail.

i think those 2 connectors are for connecting an oem or equivalent alarm. so the stealer can install it quickly and not have to hack the loom up.

Well that explains the plug then 😊 cheers

But I still can't find the lambada thingy, I traced the wire up but it just seems to disappear into the loom?

there is connector at the top of the cable, under the frame. if you lift the tank it's there (can be done with the tank in place, but too much agro)

It is difficult to find, if I remember right I took off the sprocket cover and then I had more access to move the wires about, eventually found it as Pilninggas says tucked very tightly behind the right hand frame rail.

Thanks guys I'll have another look tomoz. I had the tank up when I was looking but like I said the only wire I could find went into the loom. I take it the o2 sensor is the thing plugged into the exhaust near the kickstand?

Yes  thats the correct one, I followed it along as far as I could and  gently tugged at it to see which wire moved further along.

Found it 😊😊 I literally didn't have a clue what I was looking for but found a pic of a spare one online and realised the plug is in the middle of the wires 😒 I was looking for a wire plugged into some unit or something haha
Anyways I fit the o2 eliminator but couldn't be bothered with the hassle of trying to get the sensor out of the exhaust so I taped the plug up and left that in place. Just need to take her out for a ride now ✊

Did same with mine, couple turns of decent electrical tape, job done.
