valve clearances

Confused, workshop manual says exhaust valve clearance 0.21-0.25. Further down the page on the charts to calculate which shim is needed the clearance is 0.21-0.30. which is correct ?

If your bike is a Gen 1, have a read through the FAQ’s for New and Prospective Owners, at the top of this page. Pretty certain the answer’s there.
